Many clients have asked about CareCredit® as a payment option.  We have signed up to now offer this service and should have it available within a few weeks.    If you are not aware of how this works, it is basically a credit card or loan that you can only use for veterinary care.  If you are approved, you will receive an interest free loan for 6 months in which to pay for your veterinary services.  We caution you that if you do not pay the balance by the end of the 6 months, you will owe a high interest rate payment dating back to when the charge was originally made.  This is a great option for unexpected veterinary fees when another form of financing is not available.

We recently added an in-house chemistry machine.  This will allow us to run a full blood chemistry panel in under 15 minutes.  You now have the option to have a pre-anesthetic blood screen run, which may reveal hidden organ problems which will allow us to delay the anesthesia/surgery or adapt our anesthetic regimen.   We can also use the unit to help make a quick diagnosis for sick pets, or for follow-up monitoring of sick pets.  Ideally, for accurate results, your pet should be fasted overnight.  This is  not a problem for anesthesia/surgery pets because they will already be fasted.  But, if your pet is sick and coming for an appointment, try not to feed them overnight if possible.
